Although glass by American firms dominate, there is also a selection of pieces from English and Continental manufacturers.
Among them is this 8in (19cm) high baluster shaped, serpentine-handled vase in ‘Ivory’ cameo glass made and signed by Thomas Webb & Sons.
The vase, estimated at $1000-2000, is one of a several pieces of English glass in the sale from this Stourbridge firm including two cameo glass scent bottles: one in the form of a swan’s head (estimate $3000-4000), the other decorated with fuschias ($800-1200).
All three items, like many of the pieces in this sale, come from the estate of Jay R Doros of Springfield, New Jersey.
