Exhibited on the stand of Oxfordshire dealership Witney Antiques, the gloves were given the Best Object Award, one of several commendations given out by a selection committee last Thursday.
The gloves are made of leather and silk worked with silk and metal thread and spangles. They have a provenance to the Carr Family of Esholt Hall in Northumberland.
The fair runs in London’s Berkeley Square until September 19.
